Dogwood Hills Tree Farm takes pride in providing healthy, high-quality nursery stock that meets our standards at the time of pickup or delivery.
Because trees and other plant material are living products affected by handling, planting practices, watering, soil conditions, weather, maintenance, and other circumstances outside of our control, we give no warranty, expressed or implied, as to the survival of any wholesale purchased plants.
Please inspect all plant material when it is unloaded and contact our wholesale team prior to the departure of the delivery truck if you have concerns regarding the condition or quality of your order. If an order is picked up from one of our facilities, our wholesale team must be notified of concerns regarding the quality of the order prior to leaving.
No refunds or replacements are offered after trees leave our nursery or the delivery truck leaves the job site.
Our team is available to assist with loading wholesale orders during designated loading hours. To help us serve you efficiently, please schedule your pickup in advance whenever possible so your material can be pulled and prepared.
Customers are responsible for arriving with a vehicle or trailer suitable for the size and quantity of material being purchased. Please bring the appropriate straps, tarps, and other equipment necessary to safely secure and protect your load. Nursery tarps are available for purchase.
For large orders or material requiring special loading equipment, please coordinate with our wholesale team prior to arrival.
Please inspect your order carefully at the time of pickup or delivery. Any shortages, incorrect material, visible damage, or other concerns should be reported to Dogwood Hills Tree Farm prior to leaving our yard or prior to the delivery truck leaving the job site.
All sales are final once the material has left our nursery. No material may be returned.
Dogwood Hills measures its trees in accordance with the American Standard for Nursery Stock.
Single-stem deciduous trees are measured using a caliper directly above the root flare using a caliper. Seldom are tree trunks perfectly round. Caliper measurements shall be the average of the smallest and largest measurements.
The height of conifers shall be taken at the midpoint between the uppermost whorl(s) and the tip of the leader
Because trees are living products, natural variations in height, branching, shape, and overall appearance should be expected even among trees listed at the same size.
The soil at Dogwood Hills Tree Farm play an important role in producing strong, healthy nursery stock. Our growing fields consist of soils well suited for tree production, providing the drainage, nutrients, and structure necessary to encourage healthy root development.
Field-grown trees develop naturally within these soils throughout the growing process before being harvested and prepared for customers.
Because soil conditions can differ significantly from one project site to another, we encourage customers to consider drainage, soil composition, available moisture, and the requirements of each tree species when selecting and planting material.
Dogwood Hills has multiple growing fields. Each field has a unique soil profile ranging from sand to clay. We intentionally select which species is grown in which soil type in order to produce optimally healthy trees.
If you have questions regarding the soil type(s) on your order, please feel free to reach out.
